The Marketing Localization Specialist helps manage the translation and localization process for KnowBe4 marketing content. The position reports to the Snr. Marketing Localization Manager and will assist in coordinating and scheduling all tasks related to approved translation projects. This includes, but is not limited to, requirements gathering, planning, pricing, coordinating, successful execution, quality checking, and maintenance of translation assets.
Translations will be related to the following areas: KnowBe4 product marketing collateral such as datasheets, buyers guides, etc., KnowBe4 websites and microsites, thought leadership white papers, annual research reports, emails, graphics, banner ads, channel/partner collateral, and other assets required as needed.
The Marketing Localization Specialist uses project management tools and works to optimize standards and processes for internal teams and external vendors to refine the technical requirements needed to facilitate efficient and effective content localization.
Responsibilities:
- Overall project management of assigned translation projects through all phases of the project, especially during execution and post - delivery
- Document and track stage and status of all localization projects
- Ensure quality of all localized content to ensure accuracy and compliance with our needs
- Select localization vendor for projects from approved vendor list, and manage this relationship through each project
- Work across global internal and vendor teams on multi-language localization projects to ensure successful completion of activities
- Constantly develop and evolve standards and processes for content localization
- Assist in vendor management activities including project initiation, creation and revisions of guidelines and documentation, price negotiation, and ongoing project management and communications for timely delivery of top-quality translated content
- Ensure new translated content is added to the relevant marketing platforms regularly
- Continued maintenance of existing translations/localization assets to ensure highest quality and accuracy
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree or higher required
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in project management of marketing localization content and language quality assurance
- Experience in web content and/or web localization a plus
- Project Management or Localization Certifications are a plus
- Ability to write and speak at least 2 major languages fluently; one of which must be English
- Cross-cultural sensitivity and competency
- Experience managing multilingual content projects across multiple vendors
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Skilled in translation management system technologies
- Excellent time management and organization skills
- Experience with project management software (Smartsheets or equivalent)
- Experience with Gmail and Google Docs
- Experience with MS Office (Word and Excel)
- Experience with web browsers (Chrome, Internet Explorer, etc.)
- HTML/CSS
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Self-starter and a critical thinker
- Strong verbal and written communications
- Able to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Bilingual
The base pay for this position ranges from $75,000 - $90,000, which will vary depending on how well an applicant's skills and experience align with the job description listed above.
